Flagship Health recently celebrated the opening of its main clinic in San Antonio earlier this month and what an event it was to commemorate this momentous occasion. The entire Flagship Health team was joined by over 90 leaders from across the community, representing local governmental offices, businesses, veteran service organizations, and community organizations.

Central to the Flagship Health model is the fostering of community and wellness, and grand opening attendees saw firsthand how the new clinic is promoting these concepts. Veteran service organizations (VSO’s) can schedule their meetings at Flagship’s location and members can stop by for donuts and coffee. Community and social connection is a key differentiator for Flagship Health and what is being provided to the senior veteran community.

Bexar County Clerk Lucy Adame-Clark and her office led the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new primary care clinic, and she was joined by leaders such as Major General Juan Ayala, who leads the City of San Antonio Department of Military and Veteran Affairs, City Councilwoman Melissa Cabello-Havrda, and Jon Allman, CEO of Endeavors.

If you were not able to join the event, the San Antonio Report has published an article sharing what Flagship Health is aiming to do for senior veterans and their spouses. Additionally, you can stay in touch with Flagship Health by doing one (or more) of the following things:
