Dr. Huyen Nguyen is a dedicated Internal Medicine physician serving the Live Oak community with a strong emphasis on preventive care and whole-person wellness. With a career spanning nearly three decades, Dr. Nguyen is passionate about educating and empowering her patients through nutrition, lifestyle guidance, and evidence-based medicine. Her care philosophy is rooted in authenticity: "You cannot recommend to anyone what you have not been doing yourself."

Board-certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Dr. Nguyen earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and completed both her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.

Dr. Nguyen treats a broad spectrum of chronic conditions—including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease—while maintaining a primary focus on prevention and lifestyle optimization. Her warm, holistic approach has made her a trusted provider and advocate for long-term health in the community.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Nguyen enjoys yoga, dancing, hiking, and vegetarian cooking. She is fluent in English, Vietnamese, speaks and understands basic Spanish, allowing her to connect with a diverse patient population.
