Charles Gray, PA-C, is excited to be joining the mission of Flagship in his hometown of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Charles has a passion for the care and wellness of active-duty military personnel, veterans, and their dependents. Before becoming a physician assistant in 2001, he provided care to VA patients on the east coast, including training World War II veterans how to use glucometers to help control their diabetes. After moving to Colorado, Charles worked at Evans Army Hospital in both the Emergency Department and at the Warrior Clinic, in family medicine. Currently, Charles is helping veterans earn their benefits by performing disability medical exams.

Charles is enthusiastic to provide health care to those in need, and treats each patient with the same care as he would treat a family member or loved one. He believes that each patient's needs are unique and values the opportunity to provide evidence-based medical care and advice on an individual basis.

Charles was born in Rochester NY and moved with his family to Delaware where he attended the University of Delaware, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1994. In 2001, he attended Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana where he earned his B.S. in Health Sciences and completed his training as a physician assistant. Charles then worked his way west, making Colorado his home in 2008.

Charles spends his free time volunteering at the National WWII Aviation Museum in Colorado Springs. He routinely demonstrates the LINK Trainer to museum guests in how pilots were trained to do instrument flying. He has also participated in special events, such as the 2023 July 4th celebration where he gave rides in a WWII Army vehicle Willy JEEP; and during airshows, where the US Navy Flight Team, the Blue Angels, will be performing in 2024.

Charles also volunteers as a tall ship sailor on the Kalmar Nyckel Tall Ship in his home state of Delaware.
